IREX is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Officer in Washington DC, United States.
The Human Resources Officer will be charged with designing and implementing strategies to identify, recruit, and retain highly talented staff; managing a domestic and international benefits and compensation program.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Human Resources Officer will perform the following functions-
- Serve as a proactive thought leader on IREX’s HR policies and practices.
- Manage the annual performance management program and develop new systems and approaches as needed.
- Manage the domestic and field benefits program for the organization including evaluating and working with brokers and vendors and keeping abreast of benefit trends in the market.
- Maintain systems for consistent compensation structure including salary surveys and market research for various global locations.
- Stay abreast of best practices in compensation management, talent recruitment and development, and regulatory compliance and HR policy.
- Design and implement a coherent staff orientation program that aligns with IREX’s strategic goals and mission.
- Design an organizational strategy for professional development.
- Identify, design, develop, and facilitate training and professional development programs for employees and managers.
- Provide direction and participate in addressing performance or misconduct concerns.
- Play a central role in the organization’s efforts to model our values and be culturally savvy in our internal and external interactions and undertakings.
- Ensure HR records are in compliance and complete required state and federal reporting.
- Coordinate employee retirement plan committee.
- Develop and ensure HR services performance targets are met.
- Oversee procurement and contract negations with HR vendors.
- Supervise HR coordinator.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- 5+ years of progressive experience.
- Experience working in an organization with significant international operations preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment and experience developing and providing effective, mission-oriented, and compliant HR support.
- Professional HR Credential (ex. PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
- Ability to engage with staff at all levels and geographies of the organization.
- Well-organized with an ability to multi-task.
