Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Learning & Knowledge Management Senior Associate in Washington DC, United States.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Learning & Knowledge Management Senior Associate will perform the following functions-
- Identify and manage innovative activities that can effectively promote open knowledge and increase its benefits for Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Collaborate with colleagues from KNM and other units of KNL to promote awareness campaigns and capacity building for Bank personnel, in matters related to open publications, open data, open learning and open innovation.
- Collaborate with technical units across the Bank to promote the open knowledge agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean through workshops, conferences, hackathons and other events that engage diverse stakeholder to interact with open knowledge products and/or open data.
- Coordinate the systematization, dissemination and re-use of the knowledge generated as part of these events.
- When relevant, lead and/or participate as a team member in technical cooperation operations that promote open knowledge.
- Coordinate the production of presentations, technical notes, blog posts and other products on open knowledge, for Bank staff and for strategic partners in the region.
- Promote and contribute to capacity-building related to open knowledge in the Bank and in the region.
- Reach out proactively to IDB personnel, academic and public institutions, NGOs, think tanks, and other international organizations working in areas related to open ecosystems to establish partnerships and when relevant, mobilize resources to promote the open knowledge agenda.
- Represent the Bank in international events related to open learning, open data, open publications and open innovation.
- Conduct evaluations of open knowledge activities proposed and promote effective use of evaluation results.
- Advocate for decisions that support and promote an open ecosystem within the IDB.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business or Public Management, Economics or a development-related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in coordination of knowledge products, academic programs and partnerships for analytical and/or academic work; promotion and/or application of open ecosystems, including experience with open publications and open data; coordinating projects involving stakeholders from multiple organizational areas.
- International experience and previous work with the IDB Group are desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with topics related to open access, open publications, open learning, open data and/or open innovation; a network of contacts in the open knowledge agenda.
- Advanced understanding of technology, especially as it relates to issues of open knowledge and knowledge management.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Working knowledge of either French or Portuguese is desirable.
