GOAL is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Organizational Development Adviser for Partners in Syria.
The Organizational Development Adviser for Partners will be responsible to work with Partners, to provide strategic direction, management, training and skills development to increase the scope, reach and quality of its programmes both in Syria and Turkey.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Organizational Development Adviser for Partners will perform the following functions-
- Provide leadership and direction in collaboration with the Syria ACD Programmes in the design and delivery of Syria’s partnership programmes.
- Monitor and support development of strategies with partners that compliment GOAL’s overall mission in Syria, in close coordination with GOAL’s Technical Coordinators and ACDP.
- Identify and assess current partner’s needs and define the nature of working relationship with partners.
- Develop relationships within all levels of a partnership/collaboration.
- Review partner’s programme activities, outcomes and effectiveness, support effective budget monitoring.
- Ensure roles and responsibilities of each partner is clear, coordinate with Partner Grants Manager and the Grants unit to ensure sub grant awards is processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure effective communication at all levels within partner organizations, sharing and accessing all knowledge and information.
- Manage the roll out of the Organizational Capacity Assessment tool, and development of capacity building plans for each partner.
- Ensure coordination of training and capacity building plans with other funding partners.
- Develop partners though planned interventions (training, coaching, secondment etc) and ongoing collaborative management.
- Lead the learning in areas of Team Building, Coaching, and Change Management.
- Promote an atmosphere of learning and development among partners – including facilitating learning and information sharing between GOAL’s partners.
- Evaluate training’s and develop training materials as required.
- Monitor and evaluate partner’s performance; assess capacity building and address areas of improvement.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Administration, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration.
- At least three years’ experience working in areas of organizational development, staff development.
- Proven ability as a coach and mentor.
- Demonstrated previous experience in areas such as programme planning, logistics, budgeting, implementation and review.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to quickly re-priorities activities to meet the demands of the programme in a rapidly changing context.
- Good interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to lead teams to reach consensus on complex and/or divisive issues.
- Commitment to capacity building staff.
- Excellent presentation, oral and writing skills.
- Knowledge of Arabic desirable but not required.
