Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Regional Head of Human Resources in Paris, Kenya.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Regional Head of Human Resources will perform the following functions-
- Provide leadership and direction for the human resource function at AKES-EA, aligned with the overall goals and strategies for the region, and promote cohesion and synergy among HR policies and practices in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
- Serve as a key member of the senior management team and provide HR management expertise and guidance to the regional and country-level leadership.
- Responsible to ensure delivery of top quality workforce planning, recruitment, compensation management, performance appraisal system, professional development and effective and legally compliant HR administration, payroll and employee relations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant degree with professional HR qualification.
- A minimum of ten years progressive experience in Human Resource Management, including at least five years in a managerial capacity; previous experience in a high quality educational institution will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills to engage productively with all levels of staff and to influence persuade and negotiate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to contribute as a member of the senior management team.
- A strategic thinker who can translate strategies into operational plans for implementation with monitoring mechanisms.
- Good knowledge of labour laws and compliance requirements in the countries in East Africa.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather multiple perspectives and points of views for informed decision making.
- Strong coaching, counseling and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks, demands and deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
