Room to Read is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Supporter Care & Admin Officer (Development Analyst) in London, UK.
Supporter Care & Admin Officer (Development Analyst) will support the UK team’s responsibility for fundraising in the UK, Europe and Africa.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Supporter Care & Admin Officer (Development Analyst) will perform the following functions-
- Serve as front-line support, and perform administrative tasks to support the team, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate management of donor records and information in the Raiser’s Edge database (soon to be replaced by Sales force database), filing, keeping office supplies stocked, booking travel arrangements for fundraisers and visitors
- Support development team with meeting preparations, including the collection of materials, preparing agendas and scheduling and procuring meeting space/venues, A/V equipment, catering, etc.
- Provide the Development Director Europe and Africa with administrative support for regular UK Trustee and Advisory Board meetings
- Provide support for department-wide mailings and projects, as needed
- Respond to donor queries, coordinate and draft donor correspondence, including: personalized gift acknowledgments, receipts, and other communications as needed
- Responsible for reviewing and filing supplier invoices, expenditure reports and bank statement and liaising with accountancy team (based in San Francisco as well as local external support in the UK) on other accounting related items to facilitate their production of management and financial accounts.
- Scan and bank all incoming cheques and donations, correspond with funding agencies such as CAF and European funders to process payments.
- Enter all incoming donations in gift log and manage uploads to shared drive, enter all gifts in donor database.
- Assist team members with events as needed, including logistical organization and planning, managing invitation lists, pulling queries from Raisers’ Edge donor database.
- Support team on organization and planning of annual London Wine Tasting Dinner, our signature fundraising event.
- Provide support at events as required, including our Wine Tasting Dinner and Summer Garden Party.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years prior experience working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably at a non-profit organization.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously, take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze available information for the purposes of preparing reports, coordinating efforts and solving problems.
- Demonstrates common sense, flexibility and teamwork.
- Able to attend occasional meetings on a San Francisco time zone when required.
- Possesses good customer service skills and focus.
- Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom, no sponsorship provided.
- Strong work ethic and sense of humor.
- Experience working with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge or Sales force preferred).
- Experience living or working abroad.
