Save the Children is currently seeks applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Advocacy and Policy Senior Advisor in London, United Kingdom.
The Advocacy and Policy Senior Advisor will be responsible, through networked leadership, for ensuring that Save the Children’s health and nutrition advocacy is delivered effectively and coherently at a global, regional and national level.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Advocacy and Policy Senior Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Collaborate in the development of the Advocacy and Policy Strategy Group (APSG).
- Through this group, play a lead role in the setting of global priorities and drafting the Save the Children Health and Nutrition Advocacy Strategy.
- Support a coordinated approach to the development of global positions and policies, ensuring that it draws from experience and learning across the breadth of the Health and Nutrition constituency.
- Coordinate representation of Save the Children at key external fora relevant to its advocacy and policy aims, holding a global calendar of events, objectives and attendees to promote enhanced impact on a global stage.
- Foster links with the other Global Thematic Areas: Education, Child Protection, Child Rights Governance and Child Poverty.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Significant advocacy experience, ideally within the field of health and nutrition, and a proven track record in successfully leading the development and implementation of advocacy strategies on an international level.
- Sound knowledge of global development issues/trends and the current international health and nutrition discourse.
- Demonstrated track record in policy development, effective advocacy and policy influencing.
- Experience of working in developing countries and/or humanitarian crises is highly desirable.
- A proven ability to plan and communicate at a strategic level.
- Ability to travel internationally, for up to 25%.
