Social Impact (SI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Evaluation Specialist in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for all deliverable and reporting requirements including an in-briefing session with the USAID/Afghanistan Mission; an Evaluation Work Plan; a mid-term briefing and interim meetings; a PowerPoint and final exit presentation; a draft and final evaluation report.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Evaluation Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Document review.
- Drafting the work plan and finalizing the evaluation design.
- Conducting Key Informant Interviews and Focus Group Discussions
- Analyzing the data.
- Participating in a debrief at the Mission.
- Drafting the evaluation report and assembling findings, conclusions and recommendations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in political science, public policy, social science, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of applied experience designing and conducting evaluation projects including data collection, management and analysis.
- Experience working with government officials, assessing government data.
- Knowledge of participatory appraisal methodologies (sampling and survey methods – e.g. interpersonal interviews and focus group discussions) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills and cultural awareness.
- Familiarity with the USAID Evaluation Policy.
- Afghanistan or regional country experience and proficiency in English are required.
