International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in Bhubaneshwar, India. The duration of this post is 1 year.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Serve as the M&E Specialist for CSISA Phase III in India, overseeing the implementation of the M&E system for Bihar, EUP and Odisha.
- Supervise the hub based Assistant M& E Specialists.
- Help design the M&E system for CSISA Phase III in India, making sure that the necessary data is gathered to report to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation semi-annually.
- Ensure that data collection is aligned with CSISA’s result framework.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that the appropriate data is being gathered at the hubs and that data is accurate, credible and verifiable.
- Contribute data to narrative reports and other communications and reporting mechanisms.
- Design ways in which data can be fed back to the CSISA management and field teams so that the project can better learn from what outcomes are emerging on the ground.
- Ensure that proper documentation is generated and retained so that CSISA has a record of what M&E numbers were reported and how the numbers were complied.
- Support deployment and use of ODK as needed.
- Support CSISA’s evaluation specialist and socioeconomic staff on surveys and field work as needed.
- Assist in periodic data quality assessment conducted for internal review purposes and conducted by the donor.
- Contribute to the formulation of seasonal impact pathway planning documents.
- Analyze project data if required.
- Design an Excel, Access, or the system for streamlining the collection and reporting of indicator data.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in Rural Management or Agricultural Sciences.
- 5 years of experience working in agriculture-related projects.
- Ability to establish systems for collecting, organizing and reporting a variety of data from multiple geographic locations and for multiple audiences.
- Very organized, and a clear communicator (verbal and written).
- Strong ability to work in a team, with the ability to work independently if needed.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and support field staff and scientists.
- Fluency in written and spoken English a must.
