The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Assistant based in Budapest, Hungary.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Human Resources Assistant will perform the following functions-
- Arranges accurate internal and external advertisements for local staff positions in e-recruitment.
- Ensures timely and efficient screening of applications, taking into account qualifications, competencies, post requirements and eligibility to apply.
- Liaises with candidates on the status of the recruitment process.
- Analyze, research, verify, synthesize and compile data and information on local recruitment trends and demographic data.
- Guides offices on necessary completion of documents for the recruitment process.
- Prepares formal acknowledgement, offer and regret letters.
- Records and maintains recruitment files, ensuring all necessary documentation has been prepared.
- Monitors life-cycle of recruitment process to update supervisor as necessary.
- Assists in the organization of interviews by preparing and organizing distribution of materials for participants, ensuring availability of venues and required equipment and supplies, while providing other logistical and secretarial support as necessary.
- Through analysis of qualitative and quantitative data prepares monitoring and reporting information for supervisor on agreed performance indicators to drive more efficient management and accountability for results for the unit.
- Monitors budgets and financial expenditures of unit, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations, keeping supervisor informed and advised on actions for decision/follow up.
- In consultation with supervisor, researches, analyzes, verifies, synthesizes and compiles data and information on external local recruitment agencies.
- Assists in the organization of events with external stakeholders by preparing and organizing distribution of materials for participants, ensuring availability of venues and required equipment and supplies, while providing other logistical and secretarial support as necessary.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required.
- A completed university degree from an accredited institution (i.e. degree certificate in-hand) will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirements.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
- Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset
- Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is highly desirable.
