Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Research Associate in Manila, Philippines.
The Research Associate will support the project during the end line data analysis stage of the evaluation.
IPA is a research and policy non-profit that discovers and promotes effective solutions to global poverty problems.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Research Associate will perform the following functions-
- Assisting the Senior Research Associate with.
- Data management.
- Checking raw data files.
- Data cleaning using Stata and Excel.
- Analyzing data using Stata and Excel.
- Preparing data files and data documentation for public use.
- Developing project-related reports, documents and other materials.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Master’s degree in economics or statistics.
- Prior experience working with datasets in Stata including data cleaning and analysis.
- Excellent Stata programming skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel is necessary.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data collection, measurement and instrument development.
- Excellent organization and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
- Familiarity with research design and particularly the design of randomized evaluations is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
