Chemonics International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Community Outreach and Communications Specialist in Tunisia.
The Community Outreach and Communications Specialist will capture project impact and success stories, create synergies across sectors and activities, and promote awareness and participation in the project’s efforts and opportunities across the country.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Community Outreach and Communications Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Manage and attend all project events – including logistics, media relations, photography and the events calendar.
- Capture, write, and disseminate project success stories and ensure adequate and timely sharing with external audiences.
- Use social media to promote the project’s employment activities such as job fairs, career development centers, website developments, and association initiatives.
- Use photography and videographer to capture project activities and create high-quality project communication materials in digital and hardcopy form.
- Manage the project website including content and design.
- Ensure complete and timely archiving of documents and photos.
- Provide the chief of party with weekly bullet items for periodic reports and other needs.
- Coordinate and work closely with other project staff to ensure maximum synergy and feedback for communications.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the public, private, and NGO sectors.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or other relevant field strongly preferred.
- Minimum three years of work experience in communications with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work and travel in remote areas of Tunisia to monitor and capture project activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form in English, French, and Arabic required.
- Experience in photography and video recording.
- Experience working with key vendors for the design and management of websites, printed materials, and online media tools including Survey Monkey (or equivalent).
- Experience in the Tunisian business environment and experience on USAID projects a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and to exercise good, professional judgment that reflects positively on the project.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist in developing and maintaining collegial, productive relationships with fellow staff members, partners, grantees, visitors, and the general public.
- High standard of customer service and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; skill in design software helpful but not mandatory; experience with Word Press highly preferred.
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the project.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
