Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Manager – Transport Division in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Manager – Transport Division will be responsible to provide the leadership, direction and coordination of activities for the Transport Division.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Manager – Transport Division will perform the following functions-
- Participate in the development of the Infrastructure Department strategy in developing a strategy for the Transport Division budget and business planning processes.
- Ensure that cross-cutting issues, such as capacity development, women in development, social and environmental issues related to Transport are addressed.
- Create and implement actionable Transport Division short to medium term operational plans and budgets with operational KPIs linked to the Department strategy.
- Coordinate the Transport Division’s activities so that it effectively utilizes its resources, manages its priorities, and be both responsive and proactive.
- Manage, monitor and evaluate the Transport Division’s KPIs, ongoing performance and quality of its outputs and services, identifying and initiating actions for improvement and innovation.
- Review, analyze and discuss monitoring reports on projects portfolio and operation and maintenance work, and suggest and implement measures for improvement and higher impact.
- Communicate intended results, results achieved, performance, and lessons learnt within the Division as well as to its Management, relevant governing bodies, partners and other key stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Degree in Engineering/Economics/ any relevant discipline:
- Bachelor with 15 years experience in similar role/level.
- Master with 12 years experience in similar role / level.
- Doctorate with 10 years work experience in similar role / level.
- Certification: PMP or another certification is required.
- Ability to guides task teams in structuring and undertaking sector studies; and improving sustainability of Bank projects.
- Ability and track record of leading Transport Sector policy dialogue and the provision of Bank technical advice to clients and development partners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the global Transport sector challenges, policies and strategies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financing projects related to Transport.
- Ability to provide thoughtful input regarding legal, economic and financial feasibility.
- Understanding of project management sufficient to analyze progress using audit and risk assessment techniques.
- Fluency in English is required. Arabic and French preferred.
