Equality Now is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Sex Trafficking Program Manager in New York, United States, Nairobi, Kenya and London, United Kingdom.
The Sex Trafficking Program Manager will define, provide leadership, build partnerships and fundraise to advance the goals of and implement Equality Now’s anti-trafficking strategy.
Equality Now’s mission is to achieve legal and systemic change that addresses violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Sex Trafficking Program Manager will perform the following functions-
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of and update global anti trafficking strategy and work plans.
- Supervise the trafficking program officers in all offices and build a strong sex trafficking team.
- Be a part of the Program Management Team and collaborate with other program managers in Equality Now to ensure alignment of the sex trafficking program with other program areas.
- Lead, coordinate and oversee trafficking program activities across all offices.
- Monitor measure and evaluate program implementation.
- Lead your team in responding to urgent trafficking situations as they arise.
- Lead on the development of Equality Action trafficking campaigns to hold governments accountable to their commitments.
- Devise new strategies to monitor and evaluate local successes and challenges and develop creative mechanisms to highlight these to donors, stakeholders and the broader public.
- Identify existing and new tools to further advance the campaign against trafficking, particularly through public advocacy.
- Engage with relevant government officials and key influencers on Equality Now’s active campaigns on ending sex trafficking.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- JD or Graduate degree; professional background in international law a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience on anti-trafficking issues and women’s and girls’ rights (preferably with an international organization).
- At least 3 -5 years senior management experience, across regions and time zones is a plus.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Advocacy impact evaluation experience.
- Knowledge of international and regional human rights framework and relevant human rights mechanisms/instruments.
- Fluency in Spanish, French or Arabic in addition to English a plus.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively and respectfully with co-workers in a small office and with colleagues internationally.
- Integrity in representing the organization and its work to all partners.
