International Organization for Migration (IOM) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Manager in Georgetown, Guyana. The duration of this post is 1 year.
The Programme Manager will provide management support to the General Registrar Office (GRO) Information Management System (IMS) with the technical skills necessary for the systematic management and monitoring of the data entry process and quality assurance.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Programme Manager will perform the following functions-
- Support the management of the overall data entry process for birth, death and marriage records at the General Registrar Office.
- Liaise with IOM Panama Regional IT Center to provide on-the-job technical assistance and troubleshooting to ensure quality performance of the IMS.
- Assist in the establishment of management structures, policies, procedures and controls to ensure the data entry process is efficient and meets quality assurance requirements.
- Train and coach the GRO National Manager to ensure a smooth hand-over of the data management system.
- Provide training to all data entry clerks in the proper use of the IMS.
- Prepare reports for GRO management, highlighting system performance and problems.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional certification in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc. is an advantage.
- Experience in the area of database development and database management.
- Experience in a similar setting preferred, with a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
- Fluency in English is required.
