Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Health Informatics Analyst will perform the following functions-
- Provide mHealth, eHealth and informatics expertise for projects and business development activities in support of CDC and USAID funded programs in East Africa and Haiti.
- Responsible for providing strong Project Management (PMP level) support ensuring headquarters and country informatics projects are functioning effectively and meeting all technical requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring software project reporting deadlines are met, interacting with software developers in field and assists in business development activities in informatics.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Degree in Public Health, Informatics, and Computer Science, Degree /advanced degree in Public Health or Health Informatics related field is a significant plus.
- Five or more years experience working in mHealth, eHealth or public health informatics, with at least 3-5 years supporting CDC, USAID and PEPFAR informatics related programs in eHealth, mHealth, mobile money, mobile payment or mobile Agriculture.
- Direct experience with Software Project Management principles leading IT and or Strategic Information (SI) components of health related project in developing countries.
- Training in and experience applying IT industry best practice including software development life cycle.
- Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in mHealth software, eHealth or mobile e-Surveillance software, large Exabyte Data warehouse.
- Technical savvy, technical oriented with firm skilled, PMP preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise working with open source software DHIS2 required.
- Technical experience with at least one of the following: DHIS2, DXF2, Open RBF, eSurvelliance, eHealth interoperability.
- Proven Technical knowledge with Android, mobile development, SQL Lite, a major plus.
- Proven experience with USAID’s Principles for Digital Development.
