The Palladium is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor in Kisumu, Kenya.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor will support M&E system strengthening for child protection and orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) systems in Kenya working through appropriate GOK institutions, USG/Kenya and other stakeholders.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Management Systems (CPIMS) and Orphans and Vulnerable Children Longitudinal Management Information system (OLMIS) in order to respond to child protection and OVC information needs.
- Work with GOK, the Department of Children’s Services, USG and other relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities to utilize information generated from the Child Protection Information.
- Work with child protection stakeholders on supporting implementation of data collection tools, M&E capacity building activities and stakeholder coordination for M&E Counties where CPIMS and OLMIS are rolled out.
- Support DCS in efficient and timely roll out and implementation of CPIMS in the select counties and USG implementing partners Support for OLMIS system as required.
- Support DCS in analysis of data to support evidence and inform policy and programming.
- Participate in sub national and national forums on child protection and OVC program standards, and M&E for CP and OVC programs.
- Undertake timely project activity reporting as per project best practices and produce reports to monitor progress.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum of a Masters degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Public Policy/Administration or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation in health, HIV/AIDS, child protection, social services, orphans and vulnerable children programs or a related field.
- Demonstrated success providing leadership to county/regional (government and/or non-government) stakeholders.
- Possess an understanding of M&E systems, including the components of an M&E system and how capacity can be built to sustain M&E systems.
- Strong analytical, writing and management skills, especially for monitoring and reporting on activity and study results.
- Experience in capacity building through training and technical assistance.
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a limited timeframe.
- Experience with USAID and/or PEPFAR funded programs a plus, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust among partners and colleagues.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
