The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has issued call for Joint Indo-Danish Proposals to further develop and strengthen the Danish-Indian research cooperation with in health science biotechnology.
The research link basic biological research and health and disease awareness with clinical research, including epidemiology. The research should aim to develop more rapid and precise diagnostics and better prevention together with, targeted, effective and personalized medical interventions and care.
Objectives
The objectives through the present joint strategic research program are:
- To strengthen and intensify the research effort within the area of human health science biotechnology and to integrate the specific competencies of the Indo-Danish research groups involved.
- To provide human health science biotechnology solutions that accommodates the related challenges in a sustainable way.
Eligibility Criteria
- A principal investigator on either side must be identified. The Indian principal investigator will apply for funding of the Indian share of the budget at DBT. The Danish principal investigator will apply for funding of the Danish share of the budget at IFD.
- Every proposal has to be submitted to both DBT (by the Indian principal investigator) and IFD (by the Danish principal investigator) in order to be eligible for funding.
- The project proposal must be written jointly by Indian and Danish researchers and must reflect agreement and close cooperation and should clearly spell out activities to be undertaken by each of the partners.
