The International SOS Foundation is seeking applications for its first annual Global Duty of Care Awards to recognize organisations and individuals who have made a significant contribution to protecting their staff as they travel and work overseas.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation with the goal of improving the safety, security, health and welfare of people working abroad or on remote assignments through the study, understanding and mitigation of potential risks
By applying for an award, Applicants can:
- Demonstrate their commitment to meeting high standards of health, safety and security at work
- Receive formal external recognition of their success in protecting workers
Duty of Care refers to the moral and legal obligations that employers have to their workforce to maintain their wellbeing, security and safety at home and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
- The awards are open to all companies, institutions and non-government organisations in all sectors.
- The awards are open to all organisations in the Americas, Europe, Africa & Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
- As Duty of Care touches many different stakeholders, they encourage those in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Security, Risk Management, Travel Management and other business functions to apply.
