Applicants should be either at doctoral-level or should have at least 15 years of experience. They should preferably have experience in the fields of gender and development, information society or digital media in the global South. They should also demonstrate their interest in feminist research. Preference is given to research teams but individual researchers can also apply.
There will be a research planning workshop at the beginning of the Program where Principal Researchers will participate. At the end of the Program, there will be another workshop where feminist activists and scholars will be brought together “strengthen networking for greater impact of the research in the region is also planned, subject to additional fund-raising. Through this initiative, the Program will also be able to establish partnership with “with reputable centres committed to feminist theory and practice such as gender/women’s studies departments, non-profit centres undertaking high quality research for policy advocacy, action research networks engaged in lobbying for women’s rights, and independent scholars. The Principal Researcher must be affiliated with an institution, called a ‘Support Institution’ with respect to this Program.”
To apply for the Program, pre-proposal applications have to be completed. Based upon the review of these pre-proposals, selected projects will be requested to submit full proposals by mid-May.
