Applicants are invited to submitt proposals on macro projects – NGO Fund of the EEA/Norwegian Financial Mechanism for Hungarian NGOs. These proposals are invited by Hungarian Environmental Partnership Foundation – Ökotárs Alapítvány (HEPF), Autonomia Foundation, Foundation for Development of Democratic Rights (DEMNET) and Carpathian Foundation-Hungary. The purpose of this project is to support the human rights watchdog and advocacy capacities as well as community organizing and mobilizing capacities of civil society. Projects must be at least 24 and maximum 33 months long.
Thematic areas-
- Thematic area One: to strengthen nationwide advocacy and watchdog NGOs on the long run, develop their capacity and strategy AND to transfer their know-how, experience and skills to other organizations of the civil sector in the areas of (1) human rights and democracy, (2) gender and equal opportunities, (3) youth and children rights.
- Thematic area Two: to strengthen nationwide and regional community and organizational development NGOs on the long run, develop their capacity and strategy AND to transfer their know-how, experience and skills to other organizations of the sector.
Grants offered-
- Size of grants in thematic area One: minimum 50,000, maximum 120,000 €
- Size of grants in thematic area Two: minimum 50,000, maximum 140,000 €.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Thematic area One: Nationwide or regional organizations that are active on the field of human and civil rights’ protection in the broad sense (including gender equality, youth rights protection and development), registered in Hungary which have been actively operating according to their funding document for at least 3 years prior to submitting the proposal.
- The following legal entities may apply:
- associations or alliances
- foundations and associations
- social cooperatives
- Applicants can not have public debts and they must be independent form political organizations and parties, public administrative bodies and institutions and local governments.
- Thematic area Two: Organizations active on the field of organizational and community development with a nationwide or regional scope, registered in Hungary which have been actively operating according to their funding document for at least 3 years prior to submitting the proposal.
- The following legal entities may apply-
- associations or alliances
- foundations and associations
- social cooperatives
- nonprofit companies
