The Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT) is seeking concept notes from organizations to implement its Uplands Program.
LIFT is a multi-donor trust fund that improves the lives and prospects of rural poor people in Myanmar. It also provides technical expertise, targeted research and its position of oversight to improve programme design and cohesion for better overall impact.
Objectives
- Increased incomes of rural households
- Increased resilience of poor rural households and communities to setbacks and change
- Improved nutrition of women, men and children
- Improved policies and effective public expenditure for pro-poor rural development
Funding Information
The Uplands Program will provide funding in six categories:
- Farm Advisory Services- $12m
- NRM- $5m
- Off-farm livelihoods- $9m
- Nutrition- $8m
- Social Protection- $5m
- Pro-Poor Policies- $3m

- Equitable and sustainable natural resource management
- Off-farm employment, new livelihood opportunities and safe migration
- opportunities for upland smallholders and landless
- Nutrition
- Social protection and access to collective/public services Pro-poor policy advocacy, evidence-based learning and CSO capacity building
Eligibility Criteria
Government of Myanmar, international and national non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies, other international organizations, academic or research institutions and private sector companies are eligible to submit the concept notes.
