Terre des Hommes Netherlands has announced a call for proposals to address the identified main gaps in addressing child trafficking and migration in terms of strategies issues, programme strategies, geographical focus and programme structure in countries where Terre des Hommes is present.
It specifically aims to:
- Ensure that the rights of children on the move, including child trafficking survivors are protected through implementation of programmes that aimed to work for better laws, systems, procedures and services that take into account their views and opinion, their best interest and their evolving capacity without discrimination of their nationality, race and immigration status
- support genuine partnership and collaboration between local NGOs and/or networks
involve other key actors in addressing the priority issues through alignment, complementarity and sharing of expertise and resources to protect children from trafficking and protect the rights of children on the move.
Geographical focus
- Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and Lao PDR for in -country and cross-border initiatives
- Malaysia as destination country for child trafficking and migration for children from South Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam
- Asia for regional level lobbying and advocacy
