The Community for Open Source Microfinance has has shipped the first major release of Mifos following the transition from Grameen Foundation.
Mifos is a freely available open source MIS for microfinance institutions to more efficiently and effectively deliver financial services to the poor.
This release includes new functionalities like automated late penalties, a plug-in tool for importing clients via spreadsheet, CloudFoundry integration, a mobile-optimized interface, and an Android app.
In response to direct feedback from users across the community it includes automated late penalties, GLIM enhancements, UI improvements, dynamic per-user language support, and a mobile-optimized interface.
