My background in Sociology in general and academic interest in Gender Studies, Tribal Studies, Sociology of Health, Informal Sector, Sociology of ageing and childhood in particular has always motivated me to have a career objective as successful professional on different facets of human resource, public relation and social issues.
My fifteen years working experience as consultant in Research and Development sector particularly with organizations like UNICEF, AC Nielsen ORG MARG,HELPAGE INDIA, DANLEP, NLM, NAWO, VASUNDHARA, BISWA has given me tremendous ability in planning, documentation, research, interactive teaching, training, implementing, monitoring and reporting for different programmes and related activities. It has also helped me in communicating effectively with people of urban, rural and tribal areas effectively. My knowledge of computer has helped me in data processing and analysis in a suitable manner.
I have a documentation cell that has been compiling information on thirty selected themes. My research articles on Women, Aged and Children have been presented and published in different national and international seminars and conferences. I am a highly motivated performer; my fantastic team spirit and interpersonal skills have never allowed me to compromise on the result targeted. High task orientations get me involved so much that sometimes it affects my personal life. I become impatient when deadlines are not met and less tolerant to illegal approach. I look forward for an environment of flexibility to apply professional norms and skills and the organizational goals commensurating with my professional contributions. Experience in Research and Development Sector:
• Continuing as Manager Research Documentation and Consultancy in BISWA, Sambalpur. My job responsibilities include research, training, documentation & consultancy services.
• Consultant for HelpAge India. Need Assessment and Impact assessment Study of the Aged Beneficiaries in Orissa.
• Consultant for NAWO, Orissa. Research and evaluation on various aspects of women.
• Worked in the Coordination Cell for ANKUR project, a joint venture of UNICEF and the Koraput District Administration.
• Part time Faculty in the PG Department of Sociology, Sambalpur University, Sambalpur.
• Got my own documentation cell cum children’s library, INFORMATIVE. The documentation cell has been procuring lot of books, journals, periodicals, and newspapers. Basing on these, several information sheets are being compiled on thirty selected themes.
