ORGANIZATIN BACKGROUND
RLT began in 1997 with the collaboration of a group of local energetic, young educated social workers, with the aim to promote the socio-economic, education and cultural status for the poor and vulnerable people in the Khagrachari Hill Districts.
In 1997, as the peace accord has been treated with PCJSS and Government of Bangladesh, therefore, in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) becomes a good situation to reconstructing for sustainable development of the CHT people.
As there became great situation, aiming to uplift the neglected local people in the Khagrachari Hill District in the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of Bangladesh as a local non-profit non-government organization the Rurowa Laue Tathang (RLT) was established in February 2, 1997. The Rurowa Laue Tathang (RLT) is Marma name in English is Rebuild Lasting Together.
VISION
The vision of RLT is the poverty and disadvantaged peoples in this region are reduced. They are accessible opportunities and contribute to the well-being of their family, community and country.
MISSION
The mission of RLT is working in itself and partnership with all for fill up the basic rights of peoples.
GOALS
The main goal of RLT is to fulfill the basic needs of the peoples through a rights based approach.
STRATEGY
RLT works in five main strategic areas; education, environment, livelihoods, health and human rights and donors advice projects/programs. Through these we work to help provide the people of the Chittagong Hill Tracts with a way to improve their lives and welfare.
Specially aimed to support the MDGs and Bangladesh PRSP objectives. The project will be guided by people centered approach that will ensure the rights to self-determination, sustainable development and practice to any development activities. The strategy is based on the roles of the people’s activities as main actors.
During the whole process of the program/project the community peoples active and effective participation will be ensure. RLT therefore, is facilitated the people participatory development process that communities peoples are capable to achieve their basic rights.
FINANCIAL STRENGTH & MANAGEMNT SYSTEM
RLT runs all its project activities with the support of donor partners. It also collects subscriptions from its general and executive members, one time grants from organisations and donations from individuals and families. RLT has its own financial management policy that is included. Along with RLT will be following general accounting principles and financial feedbacks of your organization if they don’t cover RLT financial policies.
ORGANIZATION MANAGEMNT
Executive committee. The numbers of Executive Committee is 7 (seven) that consisted by General Members. General Committee: The total number of general committee is 15 (Fifteen). This committee elects the executive committee for two years. According to the by-law of RLT the Executive Committee are plays the roles and implemented the projects/programs and play for funds/grants. They prepare reports and invited auditor for from social welfare or audit firm. As necessary the General Secretary plays the role as a Secretariat at the RLT. For implement out the projects/programs the executive committee are recruited and made up a projects/program implantation board (paid staffs) such as Director, Coordinator, Program Office, etc. Executive Director is an Administration Chief.

02 Decision:
Executive Director (ED) in taken consultation from EC, administration and field staffs takes the all kinds of decisions. If there get face any problems or cannot give any solution then proceed in taken advices and approval from Executive Board.
03 Coordination:
Mainly the ED deals with all stakeholders and donors including governments and NGOs and projects to accomplishment projects and mission in taken assistance of the concern person from top and grass root level staffs.
04 Management: Each senior staff of projects, provide direction, guide, suggestion, give manage necessary to his junior staffs for accomplish the project. If arise necessary the ED help him.
05 Monitoring: ED, Admin Officer & PC monitor the all projects what are implementing.
06 Evaluation: every 6 (six) months ED calls meeting to each senior staffs, seeks the commitment, take decision, solution of problems, direction and guide the staffs to take necessary steps for progress. For evaluation, if necessary the ED monitors the fields. The ED submits all necessary at the Executive Committee meeting and donors and takes necessary approval and commitments for next steps.
07 Financial reports:
Financial officer prepare and submit the financial reports and other necessary too.
08 Reporting:
PC manages the document; submit reports of the project in six (6) months. At the end of the years, project wise he/she prepares the annual report. ED and other staffs help him/her to write down the report.
09 Documentation:
Cocern person seeks and manages the documentation and other officials staffs help him.
10 Staff Development:
Organization often organize orientation in the head or field office or sends staffs to training if the training is available.
11 Supervision:
Mainly FM and FS are responsible for the supervision program. Sometimes they invite the PC and ED. However often ED and PC monitors and supervise.
12 Communication:
PC manages the communication. If it necessary ED and the other office staffs assist him. But for project and others necessary at the senior level the ED perform it.
13 Recommendations for Improvement:
From the above analysis it is clear that RLT is a new and improving local NGO. There are much strength, policies, systems and others capacities are needed to build up and the building process on going. As a matter of fact, the organization is improving day by day very fast. If RLT get supports from the donor then the RLT can play the role for development of disadvantaged
