Belgium Government Scholarships are offered to the students residing in India for the award of 3 (three) Belgium Government Scholarships, of duration 10 months each for the academic year 2012-2013 in the following subjects fields for specialization.
The subject fields for specialization include:
- Agronomy;
- Environmental Science; and
- Photonics
Qualifications for applicants include:-
- Applicants should have obtained a first class graduates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the related subject. Candidates with Ph.D. degree will not be considered, as they cannot have a student status at Flemish Universities
- These scholarships are only valid for higher education institutions/ programmes recognized by the Flemish Government (Education and Training Department).
- Applicants should be university graduates and apply for postgraduate or Ph.D. studies. Candidates who already obtained a Ph.D. degree will not be considered for the scholarships as they cannot be enrolled as students in the Flemish higher education system.
- Intending candidates must submit 2 sets of the application form (in Annex), along with the required attachments. (one original file and one copy). They should clearly indicate for which higher education institution and/or programme they apply. If they have had earlier contacts with the institution concerned, it is advisable to add the coordinates of the staff member
- Applicants are required to give proof of outstanding academic performance and of a very good account of the English language.
- These scholarships will be granted by the International Relations Office of the Education and Training Department, on receipt of confirmation of admission by the concerned university.
- List of Applicants who would be short-listed for interview will be displayed on our website. Interview letters will also be issued to the applicants who have been short-listed for interview. An applicant can come for interview if his name in the list is displayed on our website even though for some reason he is not in receipt of the interview letter.
