Learning Abroad Center (LAC) and University of Minnesota offers Diversity Study Abroad Scholarship for US and International students to study abroad for 2012-13. This scholarship is open for International Students.
Eligibility:
- Must be enrolled as degree-seeking undergraduate student on the Twin Cities or Rochester campuses
- Students who have received a Freshman Study Abroad Scholarship are eligible for this scholarship as well as privately funded awards from the Learning Abroad Center
- Students who will have graduated prior to the start of their study abroad program are ineligible
- Study abroad program must be for academic credit Program must be a Learning Abroad Center (LAC) study program, University of Minnesota collegiate/departmental study program, LAC affiliated study program, (nonaffiliated programs are eligible as long as the Learning Abroad Center nonaffiliated program application process is completed)
Diversity is defined broadly to include geographic, academic, or ethnic diversity, outstanding special skills or talents, outstanding leadership achievements, unique work or service experience, and outstanding or extensive community involvement. Preference is given to students of color and international students seeking experiences in a new culture.
