The Citi Foundation supports economic empowerment and financial inclusion of low- to moderate-income people in communities where Citi operates. They work collaboratively with a range of partners to design and test financial inclusion innovations with potential to achieve scale. Citigroup is one of the most profitable financial services companies in the world, with some 100 million customers in more than 100 countries.
Citi Foundation in partnership with INSEAD Business Schools has created the scholarship program aimed at fostering an interest in the financial services industry. Two or three awards are made per class to candidates from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Successful candidates will be allocated a mentor at Citi soon after the start of the program.
Eligibility:
Candidates from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa may apply. In addition, they will need to demonstrate their interest in the financial services industry, particularly within corporate and investment banking. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to demonstrate their need for financial assistance.
Essay topic:
– In no more than 500 words present your commitment to a career in the financial services industry. Explain why you believe you should be considered for an INSEAD Citi Foundation Scholarship?
– Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against all expenditures).
Amount of Award: Approximately US$5,000
Scholarship Application Deadline:
11 February for the July Class (starts in September)
18 August for the December Class (starts in January)
