The Swire Educational Trust provides Scholarships for Hong Kong Undergraduate Students in the field of Ancient & Modern History,English & Russian,History,Mathematics,Music,Physics & Philosophy and Philosophy, Politics & Economics at Oxford University, UK.
The Scholarship will be tenable for the full duration of the successful applicant’s degree course (that is to say, for three years or four years, depending on the length of the relevant programme of study), subject to satisfactory progress. The award covers the scholar’s University and college fees, plus a maintenance grant (£12,800 per annum at current levels). In addition, the Scholarship provides free economy class air travel to the scholar to and from London once during the tenure of the Scholarship and at the beginning and the end of the period of tenure.

Eligibility-
Eligibility for the Scholarship is restricted to permanent residents of Hong Kong who have completed the majority of their formal education in Hong Kong. Applicants should have the intention of returning to Hong Kong after their studies to pursue a career in business, Government, or in a recognized profession. The successful candidate for the 2013 Scholarship will be in receipt of a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at University College, Oxford, made by the College during the December 2012 admissions round, for undergraduate study commencing in October 2013 in any of the subjects (except Medicine).
