Registered non-government organizations (NGOs) in South Asia region are invited to participate in the eNGO Challenge designed to promote and encourage best ICT (information communication technology) practices by NGOs for community development. All the NGOs who are using ICT for community development and for the promotion of local information, content, activities for global audience and collaboration are encouraged to be part of the Challenge. The challenge is organized by the Digital Empowerment Foundation.
The eNGO Challenge aims to
- Create and build a network of NGOs for good ICT experience sharing, learning and replication. Help create CSO (civil society organization) Knowledge pool.
- Encourage & promote good ICT practices among NGOs for community development.
- Initiate policy advocacy on the scope and need to promote good ICT practices in NGOs-as-co-partner of the Government & Public/private sector.
- To enable grassroots NGOs promote local information, content, activities for global audience and collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nominee must be a registered NGO within a country and can be from one of the following South-Asian countries – India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal.
- One NGO can apply for more than one category. Separate registration shall be made in case of multiple submissions by the same organization or team.
- NGO Nominee must provide Website URL/s. NGO who does not have that can get it free from eNGO Network membership.
- Applicant must attach one demo presentation and a small demo video about the project/product with the nomination form.
- Nomination must be accompanied by any media coverage, case study published, relevant images, success story of the application or project; it can be accompanied by relevant small video clips as well.
- Nomination submission must be in as much detail as possible to give enough material to the Jury members to decide in favor of the submitted nomination.
