The Glimpse Correspondents Program is for talented writers, filmmakers and photographers with a passion for storytelling and having ability to find truly unique stories. The program is open to anyone who will be working, volunteering or studying outside their home country for at least 10 weeks. The Correspondents Program offers the opportunity to get into the thick of the editorial process: to see how stories are developed and crafted; to engage in dialogue about writing, editing and storytelling; and to consider one’s work from fresh as well as critical perspectives.
Correspondents receive the following benefits:
- $600 stipend
- Free tuition to MatadorU ($350 value).

- Publication on MatadorNetwork.com and Glimpse.org
Glimpse Correspondents work closely with editors to develop a carefully crafted portfolio of published work. Throughout the editorial process, Correspondents receive critical feedback on their work and learn how to develop ideas from initial queries and drafts into compelling, publishable long form pieces. The Correspondents must be abroad for a minimum of 10 weeks between August and December.
Eligibility Requirements:
- To qualify for the Correspondents Program, you must be living abroad for at least 10 weeks during the spring or fall
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have regular access to email while abroad and be willing to commit to a professional editorial process
- The Correspondents Program is open to both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens
