The two-week International course on Managing risk in the face of climate change : Integrating Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) to promote resilience to be held from 23 March – 3 April 2015 in Asia is open for applications. The course explores the trends in disaster risk, the related factors contributing to the complexity of the planning environment, and the uncertainty of climate change.

The participants of the three-week training course will –
- Be able to support communities, governments, businesses to prepare and manage climate or disaster impacts.
- Have an enhanced capacity to support adaptation to changing climate-related hazards and improved resilience and disaster preparedness.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be managers, policy makers, specialists and researchers who are professionally involved in the management of risks and climate change.
- Applicants may be from public and civic society sectors, for universities, national research or development programs, for government organizations or NGOs.
- Applicants with a working understanding of Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and/or Disaster Risk Management (DRM) are preferred.
