TrustMedia, a Thomson Reuters Foundation Service invites applications for Reuters Training Program which gives chance to understand the basics of how money really DOES make the world go around.
No financial experience necessary, just a keen interest in learning about this exciting and fast-paced part of journalism.The course will cover business basics, including the difference between equities and futures, and the intricacies of bonds. Participants will also learn where to find corruption stories hidden in the numbers. The course will take place October 15-19.
Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience.
Eligibility-
All applicants for Thomson Reuters Foundation training courses must currently be working as journalists or regular contributors to broadcast media organisations in Bosnia. They must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their country, must have at least two years’ professional experience.
How to apply?
- A biography of up to 250 words outlining their career.
- Two recent examples of applicants published work, preferably relevant to the course for which applicants are applying, with a brief summary in English (if necessary). TV/Radio journalists can send in their scripts and a brief summary.
- A statement of between 250 and 500 words describing any factors affecting your work as a journalist. Explain how applicant hope to benefit from the course for which applicants are applying.
