Deadline- April 19th, 2012
Countries/Region- Lebanon
The United States is committed to assist the people of Lebanon to have a sovereign, stable, democratic, and economically viable Lebanon. USAID support advances two development objectives: 1) Strengthen Lebanon’s decentralized ability to provide quality, reliable, and equitable services to its citizens, including education, water and sanitation, and good governance; and 2) enhance economic opportunity, protect the environment, and
stabilize the country’s poorest areas.
Lebanon is a small country of many different religiously, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse citizens. This diversity is rich in history and culture, yet has led to a significant amount of sectarian tension as groups often pursue their own interests above those of the state.
