The USAID Jordan Local Enterprise Support Project (LENS) is inviting both nonprofit and for profit microfinance institutions (MFIs) to propose initiatives that will expand or improve their product and service offerings, expand outreach, expand the number and types of financial services offered, support for complying with or participating in Central Bank of Jordan initiatives or demonstrate new or innovative means to raise investment/financial participation in the microfinance sector.
The Financial Institutions Development Grants for Innovation are designed to support activities that will contribute towards:
- An increase in the number of persons from underserved or vulnerable populations accessing finance
- Greater choice of products and services
- Greater awareness of MFIs on use of alternative financing mechanisms
Eligibility Information – The institutions must be MFIs registered as legal entities in Jordan providing access to financial products and services to underserved and vulnerable communities.
