Deadline: Different for different programs
USAID is currently inviting organizations to submit proposals for public-private partnerships for different programs under Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement (APS). Through this collaboration, USAID seeks to increase its development impact.
Program Categories
- Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship (PACE) Initiative Addendum
- USAID/Vietnam Innovation in Higher Education Addendum
- Central African Republic Peace building Partnership
- USAID/Rwanda Addendum
- Power Africa Initiative
Eligibility Criteria for the Partnership
- GDA must involve one or more private sector organizations which can be
- Private businesses, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors;
- Foundations and philanthropists
- Other for- and not-for-profit non-governmental entities
- Applications from other organizations, including but not limited to, public international and regional organizations, bilateral and multilateral donors, host country governments, U.S. and non-U.S. colleges and universities, pension funds, civic groups, Diaspora communities, and other U.S. government agencies are encouraged.
- Applicants are expected to bring significant new resources, ideas, technologies, and/or partners to development activities.
How to Submit a Proposal under APS
Applicants are required to submit short concept papers not to exceed 5 pages to USAID through template provided in the 2014-2015 GDA APS. There are three main steps to the application process:
- Consult with Mission or Bureau/Technical Office Point of Contact regarding alliance idea;
- Submit Concept Paper to Mission or Bureau/Technical Office for review and approval with an email copy.
- If requested by the Mission or Bureau/Technical Office, submit a Full Application.
