The United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Ethiopia Mission’s (USAID/E) Office of Health, AIDS, Population and Nutrition (HAPN), in collaboration with KOICA, is seeking services to design and implement a new activity entitled TRANSFORM/Primary Health Care Unit (PHCU).
Focusing on the Government of Ethiopia’s (GOE) PHCU, the activity seeks:
- Improved performance of regional health bureaus (RHB), zonal offices, and woreda health offices (WoHO) to provide accessible, equitable, and quality care, including improved management capacity;
- Increased sustainable Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance (QI/QA) across the PHCU’s continuum of care;
- Increased capacity of healthcare providers in providing practical technical State-ofthe-Art interventions;
- Improved household and community practices and health seeking behaviors; and
- Enhanced program learning to impact ending preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD)-related policy and programming.
Award Information – Subject to the availability of funds, the Total Estimated Amount (TEA) of the Leader Award is $72,000,000 and the cumulative ceiling for the total amount of funding for all Associate Awards is $48,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- All qualified U.S. and Ethiopia organizations (other than those from foreign policy restricted countries) are eligible to apply.
- USAID encourages applications from potential new partners.
