UK Department for International Development(DFID) & SNV Netherlands Development Organization offers funding opportunity for which proposals are invited to support the private companies operating in Vietnam to develop innovative inclusive business in three main sectors-
- Agriculture
- Low Carbon Growth
- Infrastructure
The objective is to deliver commercial benefits for the private sector and developmental benefits for poor people, in terms of job creation, income improvements and availability of more affordable goods and services. The Fund is capitalised by a GBP 7 million grant from the UK Department for International Development and and runs from September 2012 until the end of 2015.
VBCF challenges business to become competitive leaders, pioneering win-win business models that create-
- Increased markets share and profits in emerging markets for business
- Jobs, increased income and affordable goods and services for low income people
- An improved competitiveness and inclusive business climate for Vietnam.
