Submit Original and Creative videos for PLURAL+ Video Festival

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) invite youth, the powerful agents of social change, throughout the globe, to submit their creative and original videos focusing the PLURAL+ themes- migration, diversity and social inclusion. The videos maximum 5-minutes in length should address the key challenges related to migrant integration, inclusiveness, identity, diversity, human rights and social cohesiveness, both at local and global levels.
The winners (total 26 in the year 2013) will be invited to attend the PLURAL+ 2014 Awards Ceremony to be held on December 2014 in New York, USA.
Prizes
- $1,000 each to total 3 videos.
- Opportunity to attend PLURAL+ 2014 Awards Ceremony for makers of the winning videos

- Invitation to representatives of two videos to participate in schools annual awards ceremony in Qatar by Doha Center for Media Freedom
- Kindle Fire HDX to two videos by Gulen Institute
- $150 and a diploma to two videos by MICE
- A trophy, a cash prize, and feature on its website to one video by Humanity-Without-Borders Foundation
Eligibility Criteria
- Entrant must be a youth between 9-25 years of age.
- Entrant is the one person responsible for submitting the video. Multiple youth may work together to make one video, as long as all members of the group are between the ages of 9-25.
- Other people involved in the making of the video (e.g. educators, teachers, instructors, etc.) might be over 25 as long as their creative role is minimal (group coordination, technical support, renting equipment, etc.).
- Immediate family members (siblings, children and grandchildren) of jurors for the PLURAL+ Video Festival are not eligible to enter the Video Festival.
- All videos must be accompanied by a signed entry form.
- If the entrant is a minor in his/her country of residence then the entry form must be co-signed by the entrant’s parent, guardian, teacher or adult responsible for the entrant(s). In this case, the entrant must also get the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
- Entrants must get the consent of everyone appearing in their videos if their faces are recognizable.
- Entrants must get the consent of everyone whose music is used in their videos unless consent is not needed (due to lack of copyright etc.).
- Entrants must get the consent of everyone whose copyrighted, patented or trademarked material appears in their videos.
- Videos do not have to have been made specifically for the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival, but videos must have been completed after January 2012.
