The Adaptive Management of Natural Resources short course will be held from 15 October to 2 November 2012 in Ghana.
The training programme is organized by the Centre for Development Innovation at Wageningen University and Research Centre. Candidates from the following developing countries can apply for fellowship opportunity to participate in this course through the Nuffic – Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP).

The course aims to offer participants the opportunity to reflect on current work approaches, review best practice and develop skills to support adaptive collaborative natural resources management with active stakeholder participation. In particular, the course should enable participants to:
- Explain the conditions in which AM can be successfully applied contributing to more sustainable natural resources management solutions;
- Explain the importance and use of collaborative learning processes in multistakeholder settings;
- Design and organize an AM process, selecting appropriate participatory tools and methods according to the local situation;
- Understand and organise a participatory “managing for impact” process (including monitoring and evaluation elements) as part of the AM learning cycle;
- Contribute to the skilful facilitation of local level AM multi-stakeholder processes
