Nominate an individual or organisation for Human Rights First’s 2012 Roger N. Baldwin Medal of Liberty Award, which recognises a commitment to international human rights advocacy in one or more of the following areas: social networking and Internet freedom; religious freedom; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) rights; and freedom from torture. Nominations are due by 6 February 2012.
The US$25,000 award, established in 1989, honours the human rights legacy of Roger N. Baldwin, the principal founder of the American Civil Liberties Union and the International League for Human Rights.
Eligibility:
This year’s award will go to an individual or organization that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to human rights advocacy in one or more of the following areas:
- Social Networking and Internet Freedom
- Religious Freedom
- LGBT Rights
- Freedom from Torture.
