I would like to congratulate you for your efforts for encouraging the developed countries take a active part in making developing countries into developed ones. At the same time I would like to put forth my views on funding developing nation like India, as it’s being claimed that India is developing rapidly, at the same time their are misconceptions that many states and districts of India namely Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, etc. are considered as developed states. Which is certainly not and their are various areas or fields which requires funding from the above developed nations and funding agencies to fund this states to sustain the livelihood, etc. Hence I used this platform to encourage the funding agencies to continue fund the above mentioned states of India.

I am glad that developed countries are committed in funding projects for developing countries. But my worry is about how this aid is managed.Instead of pumping money in i think we can focus on building the capacity of developing countries to be able to maximize usage of these resources.

If we evaluate the impact of foreign donations to developing countries in relation to the impact of these resources then we can see the need for capacity building.

    Africa and Liberia my home.

I am operating a local NGO in Liberia which is involved with women empowerment.
My aim is to see women self sustained and not always depending on men to do all.Free from
    gender violence and discrimination,poverty,sickness, etc.

Thanks for helping us to improve the lives of our women.

    Dear Donors,

Thank you very much for the support you give especially to Africa and Uganda my motherland in particular. However, I find it a disservice to us because people are made to think that for anything to be done, everything has to come from the developed World!

In my understanding, a project proposal is a project plan. But the only thing we strive is to learn how to make a project proposal not to implement the project but to solicit for funds. Because of this, whenever one is successful and gets the funding from you, he/she immediately throws away the project proposal (plan) and does all sorts of things he/she will never report to you. As a result, we have remained as poor and perpetual beggars!

I also believe that in your donations, you intend to let the supported not empowered. This is evident with donors who want to meet only the direct project costs but leaving nothing for the NGO/CBO to develop its capacity. The implementing organisation is thus made a conduit which is automatically useless if not provided with what to transmit to its beneficiaries.

I am working with organisations in Uganda with tested methodologies of empowering communities to support themselves and al we need is a little support to conduct trainings and just a small soft loan for the group to start their business which when they pay back, goes to another new group.

If any donor is really willing to empower communities to a level that they will never come back to you asking for support, you can get to me on my address below
I will give you all the details of our approaches if you are willing to empower the developing communities.

    Dear Friend
I being a Development Media professional and Director of a NGO Sarathi, based in Bangalore, India, which is in to dissimination of information for development feel that most of our doners, funding agencies prefer currative activities than preventive initiatives. Currently, we are operating a Community radio in Bangalore rural district, covering 100 and more villages.

I fully agree with need and seriousness of certain issues and causes, but still why concerned authorities side line to support intangible activities like educating , spreading information and making people more empower with knowldge etc. Also, MDG’s one of the most primary agenda is Development through Media. we are in to this type of activities with grossroot community. We are also planning to network with mainstream TV and film industry to reach out masses. We are with a ready concept note and looking for funds to take the project forward…India is a country of film buffes.Film personalities are influencing comman man on various issues and are also trying to educate people…. But, is this menthod is organised and reaching people through these celebrities is our question? ….Streamlining two major sector is our project and dream…Looking for an opening to reach out nook and corners of my provision Karnataka through our innovative concept…
