UNESCO Bangkok invites proposals from eligible organizations in the field of Promoting intangible cultural heritage for educators to reinforce education for sustainable development in the Asia‐Pacific Region. The purpose of this proposal is to develop guidelines, methodologies and materials for teachers to incorporate intangible cultural heritage (ICH) into teaching and learning.
Then pilot projects in four selected countries will be conducted by national teams to develop locally‐customized modules and materials for incorporating ICH into teaching and learning in schools, using the principles and methodologies developed by the in the earlier stage by the contractor. Lastly, the project will wrap up with policy‐level advocacy activities to showcase achievements and share lessons learned from the pilot projects with educational decision makers from across the Asia‐Pacific region.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Excellent knowledge in the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, in particular with relation to issues of inter generational transmission of intangible cultural heritage.
- Experience in integrating intangible cultural heritage into formal education systems.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent writing and reporting skills in English

Send detailed CV of each member of the team and a letter describing the organization’s proposed methodology and philosophy related to the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage in education with an emphasis on education for sustainable development (maximum 500 words), and a budget (including one mission to Bangkok).
