Applicants are invited for Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program which offers an examination of democratic principles and U.S civil society and provide leadership development training. This program funding is offered by The Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division, of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The mission of this program is to offers secondary school youth (ages 15-18) and a small number of adult educators from countries in Sub-Saharan Africa the opportunity to engage in intensive, thematic exchanges in the United States focusing broadly on the primary themes of civic rights and responsibilities, leadership development, respect for diversity, and community engagement.
Total funding for the project (base year) is approximately $1,200,000.

- Promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of Africa
- Prepare youth leaders to become responsible citizens and contributing members of their communities
- Foster relationships among youth from different ethnic, religious, and national groups
