Save the Children is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Roving Finance Manager in West End, United Kingdom. The duration for the post is of 12 months.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Roving Finance Manager will perform the following functions-
- Assume humanitarian response finance roles (up to director level) for temporary periods to cover resourcing gaps and ensure adequate financial management is maintained in humanitarian responses, with a focus on category 1 responses.
- Line management of any appropriate finance and awards staff within the remit of the posting, identifying any capacity gaps and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Key business partner for the International Programs team in the London office, providing financial support on strategic funding opportunities and reporting.
- Act as a champion for Save the Children International (SCI) financial policies, standards and procedures, coaching and mentoring staff and colleagues to ensure a thorough and complete understanding is maintained.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Significant variety of field operations experience in a Finance management role within an NGO and humanitarian context.
- Demonstrable ability to adapt to challenging working environments within a developing country context and the willingness to work in often insecure locations.
- Demonstrable experience with identifying issues in financial management, applying practical, sustainable solutions.
- Proven experience in training and capacity building of staff and teams, including coaching and mentoring staff.
- Knowledge and use of financial software packages.
- Experience in donor grants management: understanding of donor compliance and reporting requirements.
- Willing to undertake travel for approximately 80% of the time (deployments of up to 3 months at a time).
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and achieve results with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability of working with a range of stakeholders and in a matrix system.
- Knowledge and use of Agresso financial software.
- International work experience in a developing country.
- Spanish, Arabic and/ or French language skills.
