The Oxfam International is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Director based in Oxford, UK.
Program Director is responsible to drive and manage high quality program delivery in line with Oxfam’s strategic direction to achieve our theory of change.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Program Director will perform the following functions-
- Driving one program approach including integrated advocacy, development and humanitarian work across all countries and regions.
- Building and leading a truly global program across countries incorporating existing affiliate programs with all staff under single line management within two years.
- Shaping the Oxfam of the future through the alignment of all country and regional programs to the Oxfam Strategic Plan goals and global program investment framework.
- Managing the Single Humanitarian Unit Director to create a single humanitarian unit for delivery of the largest emergency responses and ensuring countries are capable of delivering the lower level emergency responses.
- Providing thought leadership internally within the Confederation and externally on Oxfam’s approach and added value in our rights-based development and humanitarian work.
- Building and developing a new approach to program quality, knowledge production and dissemination. Developing learning and knowledge management on programs and encouraging innovation across the Confederation.
- Ensuring good levels of affiliate engagement in programming through meeting affiliates’ needs in donor reporting, marketing, involvement in country strategy and making use of affiliate knowledge and subject expertise.
- Managing and developing Oxfam’s institutional funding strategy including significantly increasing income from new donors.
- Leading, embedding and using Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning and Social Accountability work.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Demonstrable strategic and creative leadership, management and coordination of skills, preferably gained in a network setting or in different organizations and/or sectors internationally.
- A high level capacity and demonstrated experience/skill in setting vision, developing strategy within the program area, and the ability to implement this on a practical level.
- Experience of designing and managing the delivery of major organizational change programs.
- Senior program expertise through managing large, complex programs across multiple regions and experience in driving program improvement, especially through knowledge creation.
- A proven track record of innovation in programming, funding, building alliances and consortia with a range of other actors.
- Proven experience of delivering through others to develop a high performing organization through effective processes, planning, decision-making, innovation and change management.
- The credibility to work effectively at the most senior levels in a complex, networked global system, exerting influence through coalition building and inspiring others to achieve results.
- Proven ability to influence, persuade and build confidence and trust at a senior level across the Confederation in order to ensure multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural working and collaboration.
- Strong multi-stakeholder engagement skills in order to build strong relationships with donors, affiliates, partners, private sector actors, etc.
- Experience of matrixed and cross-functional management across a range of audiences and disciplines.
- Strong resource, financial, project and process management skills, gained in a complex environment.
- A proven ability to build, motivate, facilitate and engage a team, and play a key part in the wider management of an organization, towards delivery of key goals.
- The capacity to cohere passionate, experienced and independent individuals into a high performing and confident group, organization or movement.
- Excellent external relationship, communication, diplomacy, negotiation, influencing and conflict mediation skills and the ability to apply these across a range of diverse audiences.
