Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Marketing Communications Manager in Kyrgyz Republic.
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for executing UCA’s marketing strategy, conducting market research, creative development and applications, and the delivery of promotion and communication outputs to support faculty, student recruitment and enrollment goals.
The mission of AKDN is to work to improve the welfare and prospects of people in the developing world, particularly in Asia and Africa, without regard to faith, origin or gender.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Marketing Communications Manager will perform the following functions-
- Execute Communications and Marketing strategies for the launch of undergraduate programmes in September 2016, targeting key audiences, and raising the profile of academic programmes and research institutes.
- Work closely with UCA academic and research institutes to identify marketing/ communications opportunities and develop appropriate strategies, campaigns and programmes, to reach target audiences.
- Manage various and coordinate market intelligence and market research efforts at UCA.
- Gather and present data related to social media engagement, competitor social media activity, and engagement with various advertising channels used by UCA.
- Upkeep UCA’s subscription lists, university partnership database, and contact lists for senior management.
- Manage marketing communication, including but not limited to publications, advertising, student testimonials, and website and multi-media presentations to various audiences (including UCA departments, parents, current and prospective students).
- Create marketing calendar for launch materials and track deadlines and delivery dates.
- Assist in the production of high quality materials on UCA programmes in accordance with University policies and standards.
- Manage internal and external communications for UCA as part of University-wide marketing communications and public relations activities.
- Develop and cultivate relations with media, including organizing familiarization trips and special events.
- Support UCA Translator with editing Russian-language texts and resources.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant filed (Communications, Marketing (a CIM Marketing)) or related qualification.
- Background in Humanities or Social Sciences preferred.
- Minimum of three years of professional marketing and communications experience.
- Solid marketing, communications and business development background and experience in delivering marketing solutions at a university or other regional organization.
- Experience in the use of digital technology for marketing.
- Ability to design and execute marketing campaigns with measurable results.
- Familiarity with issues related to international marketing and an appreciation of cultural norms preferred.
- Expertise using MS Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, InCopy, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premiere or similar editing tools).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships across multiple offices, regions and countries.
- Demonstrated experience writing about higher education is highly preferred.
- Passion for international education, working collaboratively and openly, building solid professional relationships and upholding brand standards.
- Ability to deploy and manage resources effectively with initiative, priority and time management.
- Ability to maintain sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
- Outstanding English and Russian spoken and written languages skills are required.
- Knowledge of Kyrgyz, Tajik, Kazakh or Dari, an asset.
- Exceptional written and oral communications and research skills, with a thorough understanding of Associated Press grammar style.
