Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Logistics and Procurement Officer in Beirut, Lebanon.
The Logistics and Procurement Officer will provide logistical support in all matters related to programmes as well as staff and office.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Logistics and Procurement Officer will perform the following functions-
- Receive and process purchase requests.
- Follow up on due diligence according to donors rules and production of documentation needed internally for payment process.
- Maintain a database of preferred vendors up to date.
- Implement and update procurement procedures in coordination with management
- Produce and follow up on documentation related to procurement (bid analysis form, proper invoices…).
- Follow up on contracts with suppliers (new contracts, renewals…).
- Administrative formalities, reception of merchandise, checking merchandise, transportation and allocation of merchandise.
- Maintain an updated list of inventory at all time.
- Track materials in and Outs.
- Follow up with partners on material bought with SFCG money.
- Assure the physical management of stock.
- Assist in coordinating travel and arranging accommodation for field missions.
- Provide security information for SFCG team in Lebanon.
- In all logistics work, ensure compliance with SFCG Operations Manual policies and procedures, and provide training for other staff on those policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Administration and Human Resources team on procurement of goods and services, and preparing contracts for suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinators and Projects Manager on the implementation of their projects, in particular in relation to procurement and planning field missions.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor degree in a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably with an INGO.
- Highly organized, calm, independent with the ability to forecast.
- Knowledge of donor regulations regarding procurement (UN, EU and US agencies).
- Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Service Orientation – Actively looking for ways to help people.
- Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
- Proven ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Dynamic with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
