The GRAMMY Foundation is currently inviting letter of inquiries from organizations and individuals in North America for its GRAMMY Foundation Grants Program 2016. The program will support research on the impact of music on the human conditions.
This program study the links between music and early childhood education, treatments for illnesses and injuries common to musicians, and the impact of music therapy on populations from infants to the elderly.
Thematic Areas
The GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program funds the following areas-
- Scientific Research Projects: $20,000 Maximum Award-
- The GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support research on the impact of music on the human condition.
- Archiving And Preservation Projects-
- The GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support efforts that advance the archiving and preservation of the music and recorded sound heritage of the Americas. The Archiving and Preservation area has two funding categories these are as follows-
- Preservation Implementation: $20,000 Maximum Award
- Planning, Assessment And/Or Consultation: $5,000 Maximum Award
- The GRAMMY Foundation Grant Program awards grants to organizations and individuals to support efforts that advance the archiving and preservation of the music and recorded sound heritage of the Americas. The Archiving and Preservation area has two funding categories these are as follows-
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be an Organization or individuals based in North America.
- Applicant’s Research projects must be based on either scientific research standards or projects related to the impact of music on the human condition.
Application Process
A letter of inquiry is required before submission of a full application Applicants must submit one completed online Letter of Inquiry, which includes the following information:
- Contact and Project Overview
- Project budget amount
- Narrative (must not exceed 5,000 characters including spaces)
- Dissemination plan (must not exceed 1,000 characters including spaces)
- Brief biographies of key personnel. Please indicate whether or not each person is a full time employee or a hired contractor (must not exceed 5,000 characters including spaces)
