More Details: Omar Dahman is from Hebron. He holds BA in Computer Engineering from the Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU). During his undergraduate studies, Omar was elected as a board member of the Students Union Council in his university. He has participated in youth conferences, organized events and led students’ activities in the South. After graduated from PPU in 2005, Omar joined RI-SOL as an On-Site Monitor where he was actively working with teachers, students and administrators on the concept of integrating ICT in education. In early 2007, Omar helped with the creation of the RI-SOL second CLAC in Hebron where after the setup of the center he became the Center Manager. Within this capacity and in addition to continuing the work with schools on integrating ICT in Education, Omar started working at the Hebron governorate level on the use of ICT in learning about social and economic issues and utilizing the use of ICT to identify practical solutions. In 2008, he participated in two exchange programs to the United States. He is a youth leader, passionate and he strongly believes in the power of IT in introducing positive social debate and changes. Since Omar has combined his skills with his passion, his center in Hebron has won several local and international prizes. Recently, Omar was promoted to become the RI-SOL South Director where he is now managing several projects, and overseeing the CLACs in Hebron and Bethlehem and the Unique Zan Women’s Center in the South of Hebron.
